The Role

Working across Residential Aged Care Homes in Launceston and surrounding areas, you will provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, treatment and care planning for residents. You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary model alongside on-site nurses, General Practitioners, telehealth Geriatricians and Physicians, with dedicated administrative and operational support so your focus remains on delivering high-quality clinical care.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in aged care, gerontology, palliative care or chronic disease management is highly regarded
• Advanced clinical experience in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing and health promotion
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication and leadership capabilities
• Experience in quality improvement and evidence-based practice
• Sound knowledge of aged care legislation and regulatory requirements
• Current driver's licence, reliable vehicle and appropriate professional indemnity insurance
• Comfortable using technology and clinical software systems

Qualifications

• Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner)
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with Nurse Practitioner endorsement
