· Work with the general plastics fabrication and production teams on custom projects.
· Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
· Assist with general workshop and production duties when required.
· Identify material, quality or production issues and report them promptly.
Skills and experience
We welcome applicants with experience in plastics welding, metal fabrication or a similar hands-on manufacturing environment. Relevant backgrounds may include:
· Steel, stainless steel or aluminium fabrication.
· Structural, sheet-metal or general welding.
· Automotive, trailer or vehicle-body fabrication.
· Engineering or machinery manufacturing.
· Shopfitting, signage or display manufacturing.
· Construction-related metalwork.
· Other industries involving accurate fabrication, assembly and finishing.
What we are looking for
· Competence in MIG and/or TIG welding.
· Ability to use grinders, saws, drills and common fabrication equipment.
· Good measuring and basic drawing-reading skills.
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce neat, accurate and consistent work.
· Good practical problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Reliable attendance, a positive attitude and a commitment to workplace safety.
· Willingness to assist across different production activities.
Desirable but not essential
· Experience welding plastics, aluminum or stainless steel.
· Experience working with custom or one-off products.
· Experience in signage, shopfitting, displays or point-of-sale manufacturing.
· Forklift licence and/or current driver licence.
