We’re seeking a Centre Director to lead and inspire a dedicated team of educators delivering high-quality early learning in Kowanyama, a welcoming remote Aboriginal community in Far North Queensland.

As the Director, you’ll oversee daily operations, act as the Nominated Supervisor, Responsible Person, and Educational Leader, and ensure the service provides exceptional education and care. You’ll mentor educators, build strong community connections, and create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Centre Director or 2IC roleStrong leadership, mentoring, and communication skillsProven success in managing staff performance and service operationsKnowledge of early childhood frameworks, legislation, and compliancePassion for community engagement and supporting Aboriginal children and families

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education – ACECQA-approvedCurrent QLD Working with Children Check & National Police ClearanceCurrent First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)Valid driver’s licenceEligibility to work in Australia and willingness to relocate to Kowanyama
