About the role

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join DT Infrastructure and Alstom in delivering the $1.6B contract for Perth's High Capacity Signalling Project. The project includes the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the new Automatic Train Control System to replace the existing signalling and train control systems in Perth.

The Contracts Administrator is is primarily responsible for supporting the Commercial Manager in implementing appropriate commercial strategies to ensure a successful project delivery, the efficient and effective administration of commercial and contractual matters, and general commercial support and the active day-to-day administration of contracts.

Key responcibilites will include:

• Procurement & Tendering: Assist with the preparation, evaluation, and recommendation of tenders. Maintain the procurement register and contribute to drafting contract documentation and scopes of work.
• Cost Management & BOQ: Assist in managing the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), tracking progress against budgets, and evaluating earned value performance. Implement effective cost controls and manage material/docket registers.
• Contract Administration: Manage the daily administration of executed subcontracts, focusing on achieving milestones, assessing variations, and drafting instructions.
• Financial Processing: Process purchase orders, delivery dockets, invoices, and payments, including preparing payment schedules.
• Reporting & Compliance: Assist in producing accurate month-end reports and dashboards. Ensure all commercial activities comply with DTI policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
  
  

Experience and capabilities

• A bachelor's degree in construction management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in contracts administration or commercial management within the civil construction sector.
• Proven experience working on complex infrastructure projects (rail experience is highly advantageous)
• Strong working knowledge of standard construction contracts.
• Exceptional negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of drafting clear contractual correspondence.
• Proficiency in project management and cost control software.
