Foundry Furnace Operator - Melting / Furnaceman

We are currently seeking a Melting Furnace Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who has experience in operating induction melting furnaces. Our furnaces range from 500kg to 8000kg capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare molten metal for casting into sand moulds and centrifugal castings

• Maintain high standards of workmanship

• Set up and maintain the workplace, charges, and equipment in an organized manner

• Ensure tasks are processed efficiently and meet deadlines

• Adhere to VEEM's safety procedures at all times

Key Attributes:

• Experience in foundry operations, with a strong preference for induction furnace experience is essential

• Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new techniques

• Demonstrated pride in work outcomes

• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions

• Commitment to working safely

• Excellent work ethic and reliability

• Forklift ticket (desirable)

Mandatory:

• Employment is subject to the provision of a satisfactory National Police Clearance.

Salary & Conditions: VEEM offers competitive hourly rates, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position with the possibility of overtime as needed.
