Dream Doors Kitchens is part of Australia’s largest kitchen facelift franchise, helping homeowners transform their kitchens through kitchen facelifts and complete kitchen renovations.

We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join our growing team.

This isn’t about high-pressure selling.

We are looking for someone who can become a trusted adviser to our customers — someone who takes the time to understand what they are trying to achieve, asks the right questions, provides expert advice and recommends the right solution.

You will meet with homeowners in their homes and guide them through the early stages of their kitchen renovation journey.

Rather than simply quoting what a customer asks for, we want you to understand why they are renovating, what works and doesn’t work in their existing kitchen, their priorities, their budget and what a successful outcome looks like for them.

From there, you will use your knowledge and experience to recommend the most appropriate solution.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting in-home kitchen consultations

• Building genuine rapport and trust with customers

• Asking thoughtful questions to fully understand the customer's needs

• Assessing existing kitchens and identifying opportunities for improvement

• Measuring kitchens accurately

• Providing knowledgeable advice on layouts, cabinetry, finishes and functionality

• Helping customers understand the difference between a kitchen facelift and complete kitchen renovation

• Developing practical, attractive solutions based on each customer's individual requirements

• Preparing and presenting detailed proposals and quotations

• Clearly explaining recommendations and the reasoning behind them

• Following up customers professionally without using high-pressure sales tactics

• Maintaining accurate customer and sales records

• Working closely with our operations and installation teams to ensure a seamless handover

The ideal person will be a subject matter expert first and salesperson second.

You should be someone customers naturally trust because you understand your product, listen carefully and give good advice.

Experience in kitchens, cabinetry, renovations, building products or a related industry would be highly regarded.

You will ideally have:

• Strong experience in consultative sales

• Excellent communication and listening skills

• The ability to ask great questions rather than dominate the conversation

• Strong knowledge of kitchens, cabinetry or residential renovations — or the ability and desire to develop that expertise quickly

• The confidence to make professional recommendations

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent measuring and organisational skills

• A genuine interest in kitchen design and functionality

• The ability to explain complex choices simply

• A customer-first mindset

• High personal integrity

• The ability to work independently and take ownership of your customer relationships
