About the role
Permanent Part-Time | Minimum 15 Hours Per Week | Early November Start
Start your career in aged care – no previous experience required
Skilled Care is recruiting for multiple permanent part-time Aged Care Trainees across the Kempsey area with positions commencing early November.
You'll be employed in a real aged care role, earning $32.61 per hour + super, plus applicable penalty rates for eligible shifts, while completing your nationally recognised CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) through Skilled Care.
Your training is paid and delivered onsite, allowing you to earn an income, gain your qualification and develop practical skills in the workplace at the same time.
For eligible trainees, Certificate III training is fee-free.
What you'll get

You don't need an aged care qualification or previous industry experience to apply.
We're looking for people who are caring, reliable, willing to learn and genuinely interested in supporting older people.
You might be starting your first career, returning to the workforce or looking for a career change. Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, cleaning, childcare, disability support or other people-focused roles can be valuable, but isn't essential.
What you'll be doing
As an Aged Care Trainee, you'll learn to provide respectful, person-centred support that helps older people maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.
You'll learn to assist with:
Personal care and daily living activities
Mobility and maintaining independence
Meals and everyday routines
Social and emotional wellbeing
Companionship and meaningful engagement
Following individual care plans and workplace procedures
Working safely as part of an aged care team
You're not expected to know everything from day one. You'll receive training, guidance and support as you build your skills and confidence.
Hours and shifts
These are permanent part-time positions offering a minimum of 15 hours per week, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts.
Available shifts may include morning, afternoon and overnight shifts, with applicable penalty rates paid for eligible shifts.
Applicants will need reliable transport and the ability to travel to their allocated workplace within the Kempsey area.
