As a Family Response Facilitator, you'll be the first point of support for vulnerable families seeking assistance.

You will:

• Build trusting relationships with families
• Undertake risk, safety and needs assessments
• Provide information, advice and practical support
• Coordinate referrals to appropriate services
• Support families using strengths-based and solution-focused approaches
• Advocate for positive outcomes for children, young people and families
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting families and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

✔ Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and communities, or willingness to develop cultural capability

✔ Experience working with families, children or individuals using strengths-based, solution-focused approaches

✔ Experience conducting safety and risk assessments

✔ Knowledge of Queensland Child Protection legislation and practice

✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills

✔ Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team

✔ Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office and client management systems

You will hold qualifications (or equivalent experience) in one or more of the following:

• Human Services
• Social Work
• Psychology
• Community Services
• Youth Work
• Early Childhood
• Domestic & Family Violence Practice

You'll also require:

• Current Positive Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current Driver Licence
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) or ability to obtain
• Ability to obtain a National Criminal History Check
