About the role
Far North Queensland | 9/5 Roster | DIDO/FIFO | Immediate Requirement
RRETS Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager (RPEQ) and Project Engineer for an upcoming TMR road construction project in Far North Queensland.
This is an immediate requirement, with the project expected to commence in September 2026 and continue through to the end of 2027, with further project opportunities expected.
We offer flexibility in engagement arrangements, including:
Casual contracts with competitive hourly rates
Annual salary packages
Competitive remuneration based on experience and capability
DIDO arrangements from Townsville or Cairns
FIFO arrangements from Brisbane
Long-term project opportunities
The proposed roster is 9 days on / 5 days off.
The ProjectThe works generally include:
Culvert and drainage installation
Earthworks
Pavement construction
Bituminous sealing
Traffic management
Staged construction under live traffic conditions
The successful candidate will have:
Current RPEQ registration
Minimum 6 years' relevant experience in comparable roles
Strong road construction and civil infrastructure experience
Demonstrated TMR project experience
Strong knowledge of TMR standards and MRTS specifications
Experience managing project budgets, programs, subcontractors, procurement and resources
Strong WHS, environmental and quality management experience
Excellent stakeholder and contract management skills
Ability to proactively plan works, identify risks and drive project delivery
The successful candidate will have:
Minimum 5 years' relevant experience delivering similar civil or road construction works
Civil Engineering qualification
Experience with earthworks, pavements, drainage and/or bituminous sealing
TMR project experience highly regarded
Knowledge of TMR/MRTS specifications
Experience with QA documentation, ITPs, RFIs, inspections and project reporting
Ability to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site activities
Strong understanding of WHS, environmental and quality requirements
We are looking for people who are highly motivated, proactive and forward-thinking.
You will need to be comfortable working in remote locations and dealing with the practical challenges associated with regional project delivery.
You must be able to work effectively with people at all levels – from clients, TMR representatives and senior management through to supervisors, operators and on-ground crews.
Previous experience delivering TMR projects and road construction works in regional or remote Queensland will be highly regarded.
