What your day could look like

As Nurse Unit Manager, you'll play a key role in creating a positive, high-performing inpatient service for patients, families and staff. From guiding clinical excellence to supporting workforce capability, you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, person-centred care and strong service outcomes.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

• Leading and supporting a nursing team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Driving quality improvement initiatives that strengthen clinical outcomes and patient experiences
• Managing resources, workforce planning and service performance to support sustainable care delivery
• Coaching, mentoring and developing staff to build capability, confidence and future leaders

You're a leader who brings both clinical expertise and genuine care to every decision. Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

• Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• Proven leadership experience in coordinating clinical services and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong skills in workforce, resource and quality management
• A collaborative approach with excellent communication and decision-making abilities

You'll stand out if you have leadership experience in rural healthcare and/or postgraduate qualifications in nursing, management or health administration. Above all, you'll bring Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage to every interaction.
