Learning Support Assistant - Senior School

Fixed term part-time working from 8:45am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, 31.25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (School term time only) for the remainder of the year.
Available for immediate start - opportunity for permanency from 2027

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide in-class assistance in the Senior School for students with specific special learning needs. You will work collaboratively with teachers and other colleagues in supporting students to engage positively in their learning, develop independence and achieve their educational and wellbeing goals.  The successful candidate is able to build positive relationships with students, respond calmly and confidently to a range of learning and behavioural needs, and work flexibly as part of a collaborative team.

To excel in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate initiative and the capacity for self-direction, while at the same time contributing to the output of the larger team.  You will be warm and caring with a nurturing disposition and have the ability to support students presenting with challenging behaviours in a compassionate, respectful and consistent manner.  A positive, enthusiastic team member with excellent organisational skills, you have the ability to set goals and prioritise work, and manage multiple, simultaneous tasks.  You have great interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a diverse range of students and parents, communicating confidently while ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
