We deliver 21 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 370,000 residents.
The role
Build your career in customer service while gaining hands-on experience supporting our diverse community!
As a Trainee Customer Service Officer, you’ll combine structured learning and development with practical, on-the-job experience as part of Council’s Customer Service Team. You’ll gain experience assisting residents, local businesses and the wider community with a broad range of Council enquiries and requests through both telephone and face-to-face customer service.
This is a two-year Temporary Full-Time traineeship, commencing in February 2027, offering the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification while developing practical workplace skills and building a strong foundation for your career in customer service.

Previous experience in a customer service role is not essential but advantageous.
The salary range for this opportunity commences at $38,272 (T3 at 17 years of age) or $44,746 (T4 at 18 years or completed HSC) + 12% super.
