Exercise Physiologist – Musculoskeletal rehab.Full Time | Port Adelaide & Wingfield, SA$85,000–$95,000 + super, depending on experience and skills
Our MSK and post-operative caseload continues to grow, and we’re looking for an Exercise Physiologist to join the NP Exercise Physiology team across Port Adelaide and Wingfield.
We’re particularly interested in hearing from experienced Exercise Physiologists who enjoy clinical rehabilitation and want to continue developing their skills in musculoskeletal and occupational rehabilitation.
Graduates with a genuine interest in building a career in MSK rehabilitation are also encouraged to apply.
The RoleThis is a clinical Exercise Physiology treatment role.You’ll primarily deliver 1:1 exercise rehabilitation to clients with:Acute musculoskeletal injuriesChronic musculoskeletal conditionsPost-operative rehabilitationWorkplace injuriesComplex functional rehabilitation needs
Your day will involve exercise and functional assessment, individualised exercise prescription and progressing clients through their rehabilitation.
You’ll also communicate regularly with doctors, case managers, RTW providers and other allied health professionals to ensure rehabilitation is coordinated and outcomes focused.The majority of your work will be based at the same clinic or gym location each day, with only occasional home or community visits.
Work as Part of a Multidisciplinary TeamYou’ll join a team of 10+ Exercise Physiologists and work alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists and doctors.
We value collaboration and provide opportunities to discuss cases, learn from other clinicians and gradually take on more complex rehabilitation as your skills develop.
Training, Mentoring & Career DevelopmentClinical development is a major focus at NP Exercise Physiology.We provide:Structured clinical training and mentoringRegular case discussion and supportQuarterly clinical workshopsDevelopment in MSK and post-operative rehabilitationTraining in workers compensation and occupational rehabilitationProgression into increasingly complex caseloadsFor experienced clinicians, development is tailored around your existing skills and where you want to take your career.Experience in workers compensation, RTW services or claims/case management is highly regarded.
About YouYou will need to be an ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist with:A genuine interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitationStrong communication and interpersonal skillsConfidence working independently and within a teamA commitment to high-quality clinical careIdeally, you’ll have one or more years of professional experience, particularly in clinical EP, MSK, post-operative or workers compensation settings.However, graduates are encouraged to apply. MSK knowledge can be developed through our training program. What matters to us is a genuine desire to learn and develop as an MSK clinician.
