As part of Australia’s largest bank, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, using data to shape the future of our business. You’ll learn how to turn data into compelling stories by building and refining quantitative and predictive models, or by using our leading-edge technology to extract and synthesise insights that influence strategic decisions. 

Throughout the program, you’ll strengthen your technical skills in SQL, Python, AWS, and Teradata. You’ll have the opportunity to explore how AI powered data capabilities can drive smarter, more efficient ways of working. You’ll gain experience working with large, complex datasets, to deliver actionable insights that lead to meaningful outcomes for our customers, and real impact for the business.

Throughout the program, you’ll gain broad exposure across the Advanced Analytics spectrum. You’ll apply techniques like exploratory data analysis and machine learning to tackle real customer challenges. Whether it’s through descriptive insights, predictive modelling, performance monitoring, or direct customer communications, your work will help drive smarter, data-led outcomes. 

You’ll be part of a team where scientific thinking, advanced statistical methods, and commercial acumen come together to deliver meaningful results.

• An Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident at the time of application.
• A New Zealand citizen already residing in Australia, and an Australian resident for tax purposes at the time of your application.
• In your penultimate year of your overall university degree, or if you’re doing a double degree (in your penultimate year).
• Have achieved at least a credit average minimum in your degree.
• Sydney based, or willing to relocate to Sydney for the program at your own expense.

We have a long history of supporting flexible working in its many forms so you can live your best life and do your best work. Most of our teams are in one of our office locations for at least 50% of the month while working from home the rest of the time.
