Technical Lead - Network Security

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Lead – Network Security to join our Managed Security Engineering team. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex problems, leading technical outcomes, and acting as a trusted advisor to customers.

You’ll be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise-grade network security solutions, while also mentoring engineers and contributing to continuous improvement across the practice.

What You’ll Do

Provide expert-level (Level 4) support across network security platforms including Fortinet, Palo Alto, and NetskopeLead complex incident resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysisDesign and implement secure network architectures aligned to industry best practicesDeliver advanced configuration, optimisation, and performance tuningConduct security assessments and provide risk mitigation recommendationsAutomate and improve operational workflows using DevOps-aligned practicesAct as a trusted technical advisor to customers in consulting-style engagementsMentor and coach engineers, lifting capability across the teamEnsure adherence to ITIL-aligned incident, change, and problem management processes

What You'll Bring

6+ years’ experience in security engineering or operations, ideally within an MSP or complex enterprise environmentProven experience as a Senior Engineer and/or Technical LeadStrong client-facing and consulting experienceDeep hands-on experience with:Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, HA, VPNs, SD-WAN, Threat Protection) - REQUIREDPalo Alto Networks (NGFW, Panorama, GlobalProtect, WildFire) - Good to haveNetskope (SWG, CASB, Zero Trust, DLP) - Good to haveExperience integrating security platforms with SIEM solutionsStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skillsQualifications (desirable)

Tertiary qualification in IT, Cyber Security, or a related disciplineRelevant vendor certifications (e.g. Fortinet NSE, PCNSE, Netskope)ITIL Foundation certification
