Job Title: Behaviour Support Practitioner - Graduates/Training - Sydney NSW Working hours: 16 - 38 hours / Week (Flexible for part time) Salary : Competitive salary (based on experience) + CPD + Benefits
Location: Sydney, NSW About the role Our client is seeking passionate and driven experienced Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioners to work with a diverse caseload of Mental Health, Physical, ASD, Cognitive/Neuro – 75% adults.
Ideally, you will have knowledge and confidence with the following: Demonstrate ability to conduct comprehensive behaviour assessments and designing, implementing and evaluating behaviour support plans Understanding of evidence-based principles and relevant standards
Demonstrate an awareness of the principles of positive behavioural intervention, including strategies that are embedded in the context of strengths based and least restrictive practices Support NDIS participants’ inclusion and participation in the community Demonstrate a range of intervention strategies to address needs that relate to activities of daily living, social integration, sensory processing and integration and mental health management
Participate in regular professional development opportunities to keep up with current developments Requirements: Current professional body registration (where appropriate)
Experience as a behavioral support practitioner (preferred) NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Working with Children’s check
Current Driver’s license Ability to effectively communicate with parents and carers. A passion for helping people with behavioural difficulties
