Heavy Diesel Mechanic - FIFO

Since our establishment in 2018, Kenworthy Diesel Mechanical Services has been the trusted partner for businesses in the mechanical trades industry.

We are looking for tradespeople who want greater exposure across different sites, locations and equipment. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys working away, adapting to new environments and continually building their skills across a broad range of machinery.

What's On Offer

• Competitive Remuneration: Up to $85 per hour.

• Field Service Ute: Work from a fully mine-spec’d Hilux or LandCruiser (Role dependent)

• FIFO: 2:1 roster FIFO. (Ex Perth)

• Employee Referral Bonus: You earn $3,000 per referral, and your mate gets $1,500 - T&Cs apply.

• Sign On Bonus: Up to $5,000 – T&Cs apply.

• Pathway to Permanent: Option to transition to Full Time employment after demonstrated experience and performance.

The Nature of our Work

Our team is deployed to our client requirements, which means the work can offer greater variety than a traditional single-site position.

• You’ll work across different sites, projects, teams and equipment throughout WA, and Australia wide on occasion.

• Some assignments require you to work independently, while others involve becoming part of the client’s established maintenance team.

Experience We’re Looking For

A practical, self-sufficient problem solver who takes the time to assess and diagnose an issue before escalating it, while knowing when to seek support. As contractors, we don’t expect you to be a single asset guru, but rather have a multifaceted skillset across multiple OEMs.

• Working with major OEMs: CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Kenworth, MACK, Volvo, Metso, Sandvik, Terex or similar.

• 3+ Years of Post Trade experience.

• Ability to read service manuals, schematics and technical information.

Minimum Requirements

• Full Australian Working Rights

• Certificate - III in either Mobile Plant, Heavy Commercial Tech, or Fixed Plant (or similar)

• C-Class Driver’s license, or higher

• Ability to successfully complete a police clearance and undergo pre-employment medical.
