Disability Support Workers – Complex Behaviour SupportSouthern Suburbs of Adelaide | Ongoing Shifts | Active & Passive Overnight Support
Are you a confident and compassionate Disability Support Worker who is passionate about making a genuine difference?
We are seeking reliable and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our growing team, supporting NDIS participants in the Southern Suburbs of Adelaide.
These roles involve supporting participants with complex needs and behaviours of concern, and may include personal care, community access, social support, household assistance and active or passive overnight support.
We are looking for people who can build genuine relationships while maintaining professional boundaries, remain calm and responsive in challenging situations, and provide consistent, person-centred support.
About the RoleAs a Disability Support Worker, you will:
Provide safe, respectful and person-centred support aligned with each participant's individual goals, preferences and support needs.
Support participants with personal care, medication, daily living skills, household tasks, community access and social participation.
Promote independence, choice and control while supporting participants to develop and maintain positive living skills.
Support participants who may display behaviours of concern, following individual Behaviour Support Plans and approved restrictive practice requirements where applicable.
Use positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategies to respond safely and respectfully to complex situations.
Work collaboratively with other Support Workers, including during 2:1 support shifts.
Develop professional and respectful relationships with participants, families, colleagues and Case Managers.
Complete clear, accurate and timely shift notes, documentation and incident reports.
Participate in team meetings, supervision, reflective practice and debriefing as required.
Proactively communicate changes, concerns and relevant observations to Case Managers.
Support participants with transport to appointments, activities and community access.

Who We're Looking ForWe would love to hear from candidates who:
Have experience supporting people with complex needs and/or behaviours of concern.
Understand and are committed to positive behaviour support and person-centred practice.
Have strong communication, emotional regulation and de-escalation skills.
Are confident providing personal care.
Can remain calm, professional and responsive in challenging situations.
Are reliable, adaptable and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Build respectful relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Are passionate about supporting independence, choice and meaningful community participation.
Are willing to assist with backfilling sick leave and planned staff leave.
Can commit to a minimum of 3–4 shifts per week.
Have availability across a 7-day roster, including active and passive overnight shifts.
Successful applicants will require:
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
Manual Handling certification, or willingness to obtain.
Medication competency, or willingness to obtain.
Relevant experience supporting people with disability and/or complex needs.
A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health or a related field is desirable but not essential for applicants with suitable experience.
