Room Leader | Now Open| Full-time or Part-time | Ipswich

We are looking for a Diploma qualified Room Leader to join our opening team at Little School Early Learning Centre in Brassall, Ipswich.

This role can be full-time or part-time. If you are someone who loves working with children, enjoys leading a room in a calm and positive way, and wants to be part of a supportive family-owned centre, we would love to hear from you.

Little School is a fully renovated early learning centre now open, licensed for 75–80 children. We are creating a centre that feels warm, welcoming and genuinely child-focused, with a strong emphasis on play-based learning, relationships and natural environments.

Our outdoor spaces will include a large natural playground, loose parts play yard, chickens and guinea pigs, and a small produce garden where children can help grow things like lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. We are looking for a Room Leader who enjoys helping children learn through play, exploration and everyday experiences.

As our Room Leader, you will:

• Lead the day-to-day running of your room in a calm, positive and organised way

• Create a warm, safe and engaging environment for children

• Support and guide educators in your room

• Help deliver a play-based program guided by the Early Years Learning Framework

• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues

• Contribute to observations, planning and documentation

• Work closely with leadership and your team to create a positive room culture

• Support children’s learning through indoor and outdoor experiences

• Help establish Little School as a centre known for warmth, quality and genuine care

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience as a Diploma Qualified Room Leader, Lead Educator or similar role in early childhood

• A genuine love for working with children

• A warm, team-focused and reliable approach

• Good communication and relationship-building skills

• Current Blue Card

• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain/update
