This role plays a pivotal leadership role within The Gap Uniting Early Learning service, combining hands-on room leadership with service-wide operational and educational leadership support.

• Support the Centre Director as Second in Charge (2IC), including acting as the Responsible Person

• Contribute to educational leadership and service oversight, particularly in the Director’s absence

In your day-to-day role, you will:

• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports each child’s development

• Mentor and guide educators within your room and across the service

• Build trusted relationships with children and families

• Support centre operations including rostering, enrolments, family communication and administrative tasks

• Act as the Responsible Person when required, ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework

• Model and embed the values of The Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod

• Step into the Centre Director role during periods of absence, supporting staff leadership, compliance, safety, and service performance
