About the role
We’re looking for a driven and well-rounded Marketing Executive to play a key role in delivering marketing initiatives at our Surfers Paradise Hotel, The Island Gold Coast.
This is a hands-on role that sits at the intersection of strategy, execution and operations. You’ll be deeply involved in bringing venue activations, events and campaigns to life — from early concept through to launch, content rollout and performance reporting.
Content is a major pillar of this role. You’ll own the content strategy and execution, coordinating creators and internal resources to ensure our venues are consistently represented with compelling, on-brand storytelling that drives awareness and trade.
You’ll work closely with venue operations, suppliers and stakeholders, acting as a conduit between ideas and on-the-ground execution.
About The Island Gold CoastThe Island Gold Coast is a boutique hotel in the heart of Surfers Paradise, featuring 78 stylish rooms, a vibrant rooftop bar, bar and bistro, dedicated wedding and function venues, and Bunk Backpackers.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning and delivery of group-wide and venue-specific marketing campaigns
Be an integral part of conceptualising, launching and promoting venue activations and events
Manage the content strategy and execution across multiple venues, including coordination of photographers, videographers and creators
Work closely with venue operations teams to ensure campaigns translate seamlessly from concept to in-venue execution
Drive awareness and general trade through always-on marketing activity
Assist with marketing operations, reporting and performance tracking
Manage relationships with suppliers, agencies and external stakeholders
Support the wider marketing team to deliver campaigns on time, on brand and on budget
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Marketing Executive or Marketing Coordinator role within hospitality or tourism marketing
Strong understanding of content strategy with a genuine eye for compelling, on-brand creative
Experience coordinating content production and managing contributors or contractors
Comfortable working across multiple venues and priorities at once
Strong communication skills and confidence working with operations teams
Organised, proactive and execution-focused, with a balance of creativity and commercial thinking
