Technical Operations Manager – Agricultural Machinery

About the role

In this broad leadership role you will take a leading role in the day-to-day technical side of the business, supporting our workshop and field technicians, solve technical issues and ensuring projects are delivered safely. When required, you should be comfortable stepping into the workshop or field and working alongside the team to solve a problem. You will spend time with our customers, visiting manufacturers, importers and dealers to understand their challenges by providing technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support workshop and field technicians
• Coordinate and support technical activities and field-service projects
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high quality standard
• Visit customers and prospective customers throughout Australia
• Support proposals, quotations and commercial discussions
• Represent HuizingHarvest at field days and industry events

About you

• At least 5 years' experience within the agricultural machinery industry
• A strong technical background in agricultural machinery
• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring technicians
• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing new business
• Good organisational and computer skills
• A current Australian driver's licence
• Willingness to travel throughout Australia when required
