About the role
Kesser Torah College (KTC) is a thriving Chabad Orthodox Jewish Day School situated in Dover Heights in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Catering to over 600 boys and girls from Early Learning through to Year 12, KTC provides an integrated education that balances a rigorous academic curriculum with comprehensive Jewish studies. About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced HSIE Legal/Business Studies Teacher to join our collegial High School Team.
The primary focus of this role is Legal Studies and Business Studies (Years 11–12, HSC), though the successful candidate may also teach HSIE and specialised elective subjects in Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will have the ability to engage and support students across a range of year groups and ability levels.
This is a full-time position, commencing from Term 4, 2026 or Term 1, 2027.
Deliver engaging and effective HSC Legal Studies and Business Studies classes to senior students (Years 11–12), with additional teaching of HSIE and specialised elective subjects in Stages 4 and 5
Differentiate teaching to support diverse learners across a range of year groups, abilities and learning needs
Plan and implement rigorous programmes of study aligned to NESA syllabus requirements and HSC expectations
Apply evidence-informed pedagogical approaches and integrate educational technology to enhance student learning
Work collaboratively within the HSIE faculty, contributing to shared planning, moderation and curriculum development
Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Proven experience teaching senior Legal Studies and Business Studies, with strong content knowledge across both subject areas
Genuine passion for law, business and society, and the ability to inspire and motivate secondary age students
Knowledge of recent developments in senior secondary pedagogy and how these apply specifically to HSIE teaching
Strong, evidence-informed classroom practice and a commitment to student learning outcomes
Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic HSIE team
Confidence in the use of educational technology and a willingness to embrace it to enhance learning in the classroom
Current NESA accreditation and eligibility to teach in NSW
A willingness to support the Jewish and religious ethos of the College
