UQ College Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary company and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for the University of Queensland (UQ). UQ College provides domestic and international students with access to further and higher education through a range of pathway programs. These include English language, Foundation, Tertiary Preparation, and Bridging Programs, plus Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs.

About This Opportunity
We’re seeking passionate and versatile casual educators to join our Academic Pathways team in the following subject areas, with ability to teach across multiple subjects highly regarded:
Psychology
Business Management
Economics
Chemistry
Biology
At UQC, you’ll be part of a supportive, innovative team committed to delivering a first-class student experience. We empower our teachers to thrive professionally and make a meaningful impact on student success.
Key responsibilities will include:
Deliver engaging, high-quality university preparation courses face-to-face on campus
Plan lessons, consult with students, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Develop shared teaching resources and evaluate student performance.
Use technology effectively (LMS, MS365, Zoom, authenticity software).
Demonstrate reflective practice and adapt to diverse student needs, including EAL learners.
These are casual opportunities for early September start.
About You
You will have:
A Degree in one or more relevant subject areas
Recognised teaching or education qualification
Minimum 5 years’ teaching experience in post-secondary education
Experience teaching second language learners
Proficiency in educational technology
Current Blue Card or QCT registration prior to commencing at UQ College or have an applicating pending.
Desirable:
Graduate Diploma in Education
Experience teaching international students
Familiarity with QCAA syllabi
Ability to teach across multiple subjects
Staff will be required to work between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm Mon-Fri and will, on occasion, be required to work additional hours outside of these.
Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, qualifications, professional registration (eg. QCT), criminal history checks, and other role-specific requirements such as Blue Card checks. This may also include checks relating to gender-based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements.
You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
