The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced, energetic and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our production team at our Dandenong South facility.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of our production team while working alongside employees to ensure production targets, quality standards and customer deadlines are achieved.

You'll be comfortable leading from the front — organising people and priorities, operating equipment, troubleshooting issues, maintaining standards and stepping into production areas as required.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Production Leadership

• Coordinate daily production schedules, priorities and resources to meet customer deadlines.

• Lead, support and supervise production employees, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

• Monitor production performance against quality, output and delivery KPIs.

• Ensure established production processes, procedures, housekeeping and workplace standards are consistently maintained.

• Assist with workforce planning and casual staffing requirements in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer.

• Communicate production performance, issues, risks and resource requirements to the Chief Operating Officer.

• Promote and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with workplace health and safety policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

Hands-On Production

• Set up, operate and work alongside the team on a range of print and production equipment.

• Develop a strong technical understanding of machinery, equipment and production processes.

• Troubleshoot production, equipment and quality issues and provide practical support to operators.

• Train team members in the correct operation of machinery and production processes.

• Conduct quality checks and ensure finished products meet required specifications.

• Stop production where quality or process issues arise and take appropriate action to rectify or escalate the issue.

• Monitor materials and stock requirements to support effective production flow.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility for team performance while also being willing and able to work hands-on with machinery and production equipment.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Experience in a manufacturing or print production environment.

• Previous experience leading, supervising or coordinating production employees.

• Hands-on experience operating print or similar production machinery and equipment.

• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, with a practical approach to troubleshooting and learning new equipment.

• Experience training and developing operators.

• Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.

• A clear understanding of production targets, quality standards and deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.

• A continuous-improvement mindset.

• Clear and professional communication skills.

• The ability to make sound decisions and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving production environment.

Experience in digital print, manufacturing or automated production environments will be highly regarded. Above all, you'll be someone who leads by example.
