About the role
Role Description The Store Manager role at JIAN CHA Global is a full-time, on-site position based in Melbourne, VIC. The Store Manager oversees daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory control, and merchandising to ensure a well-presented and efficient retail environment. This role leads and mentors the store team, sets performance expectations, schedules staff, and provides ongoing coaching to support service excellence and sales targets. The Store Manager handles customer enquiries and escalations, promotes a customer-focused culture, and implements in-store initiatives to improve satisfaction and loyalty. Additional responsibilities include monitoring retail loss prevention measures, analysing sales reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Qualifications
Ability to drive high Customer Satisfaction through strong Customer Service and effective Communication skills.Proven experience in Store Management, including team leadership, daily operations, and sales performance oversight.Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, with the ability to implement procedures that minimise shrinkage and protect assets.Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.Experience in coaching and developing team members, including performance management and training.Comfort with using point-of-sale systems, retail software, and basic data analysis for reporting and decision-making.Flexible to work retail hours, including weekends, public holidays, and peak trading periods as required.Previous experience in retail or hospitality management and a relevant qualification in business, retail management, or a related field is advantageous.
