GV Creamery

Located in the historic Kyabram Jam Factory – home to IXL Jams – GV Creamery has operated its state-of-the art dairy processing facility from the site since 2020. From frozen milk concentrate to frozen cream, the company’s wide range of dairy products are sourced locally and exported globally.  GV Creamery has grown to employ 90 full-time workers across Victoria with the company having more than doubled the workforce at its dairy processing facility in Kyabram to 30 workers.  

The Role

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Electrician with a strong electrical background to support the day-to-day maintenance and reliability operations of our Kyabram manufacturing site. Drawing on your experience in FMCG or dairy production environments, you’ll bring a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and driving continuous improvement across our plant.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our equipment and systems run efficiently and safely, while also supporting broader engineering and reliability initiatives. The role is primarily based in Kyabram, with occasional support at our Melbourne facility (3–4 days per month). Travel time and accommodation are fully covered in accordance with standard industry awards.

What you’ll be doing:

·         Providing hands-on electrical and mechanical support across production operations

·         Assisting with planned maintenance work orders and reliability system improvements

·         Working closely with a supportive maintenance team to keep things running smoothly

·         Supporting the Engineering and Reliability functions on site

·         Driving efficiency in a high-performing FMCG/Dairy manufacturing environment

What you’ll need to bring:

·         A current A Grade Electrical Licence (essential)

·         Experience in FMCG or dairy manufacturing environments

·         Strong knowledge of reliability systems and preventative maintenance

·         Hands-on experience with PLC’s/SCADA systems and Process Control (advantageous)

·         Ability to troubleshoot online systems and resolve issues quickly

·         Experience with asset and maintenance systems – managing and generating work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, and enforcing timelines

·         A demonstrated ability to design and implement long-term change processes

·         A proven self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Flexibility to support occasional travel to our Melbourne site (with travel & accommodation provided)
