About the Role
The Senior Manager, Facilities Management leads the delivery of facilities management services across Victorian Government office accommodation. The role works closely with departments, agencies and key stakeholders to ensure services are customer-focused, consistent, efficient and aligned with government priorities. The position also oversees the outsourced FM provider and contractual arrangements, ensuring strong governance, compliance, service quality and continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
Lead facilities management services across DGS office accommodation, ensuring efficient, effective and value-for-money outcomes aligned with Victorian Government priorities and policies.
Oversee outsourced service providers and vendors, ensuring strong governance, contract performance, compliance and delivery against agreed KPIs.
Build strong stakeholder relationships with service providers, departments, agencies and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services.
Lead the FM team and drive continuous improvement, including workforce planning, staff development, operational improvements and effective management of changing business needs.
Provide strategic oversight, reporting and advice on FM performance, financials, assets, compliance, risk and complex issues to support informed decision-making and organisational objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following attributes:
Extensive facilities management leadership experience, with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver complex strategic and operational property outcomes.
Strong technical expertise in facilities management, including planned and reactive maintenance, asset management, building safety, statutory compliance and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience managing contractors, vendors and service providers, driving performance, resolving service issues and managing competing priorities.
Strong strategic and analytical capability, with the ability to manage complex issues and risks, analyse information, provide sound advice and support effective decision-making.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence diverse stakeholders and engage confidently with senior executives.
