About the role
You're an experienced finance leader with deep technical expertise in financial control, statutory reporting and compliance, ideally gained within a complex, multi-entity organisation. You bring strong judgement, a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives, auditors and Boards while leading and developing a high-performing finance team.
The Financial Controller leads financial control, accounting, statutory reporting, audit and tax compliance across St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria and its Group entities, ensuring financial information is accurate, timely and reliable. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll provide senior finance leadership across month end, year end, balance sheet integrity, accounts payable, banking, treasury, cashflow and investments reporting, financial systems controls, finance policies and external reporting obligations. This work strengthens the financial control environment to support the Society's mission and financial sustainability.
You'll work closely with the CFO, senior finance colleagues, Executive leaders, auditors, Boards and Committees to ensure strong financial governance.
