Medical Receptionist- Radiology

ScanMedical is a new group of independent medical imaging practices located in and around metropolitan Sydney. The group is wholly owned and operated by medical professionals and experts in the diagnostic imaging field, with specialties in cardiac, musculoskeletal and interventional Radiology. 

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, enthusiastic and customer-service orientated Medical Imaging receptionist to join our team in Hurstville NSW. 

This opportunity is available on a full-time basis.

Operating hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.

Modern facility with brand new, state-of-the-art equipment and machines.

Key responsibilities;

• Greeting patients to the practice and completing arrival documentation;

• Scheduling and registering patients into the radiology information system (radspace);

• Assisting with pre-procedure patient preparation;

• Taking phone calls from patients, referrers and other stakeholders;

• Post-procedure Medicare and health fund billing;

Key position requirements;

• A commitment to excellent customer service and patient care;

• Excellent communication, phone manner and patient/referrer interaction skills;

• Proficient organisation, prioritisation and time management;

• Ability to collaborate in a team environment;

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills;

• EFTPOS and cash handling;

• A basic understanding of medical terminology pertaining to the field of medical imaging

Desired Attributes;

• Experience using radiology information systems;

• Past experience with Medicare and Health Fund billing;

• Ability to manage patient preparation for radiology examinations;

• Positive attitude and the ability to show initiative;

• Strong work ethic and personal drive;

• A commitment to ongoing training, education and professional development;
