Venue Event Manager

About the role

Alora Macedon is seeking a passionate and experienced Venue Event Manager to oversee weddings and events. You will be on the floor during weddings and events, liaising directly with brides, grooms, venue staff, suppliers, and caterers to ensure every detail is perfectly executed and each event runs smoothly from start to finish.

Our weddings and events predominantly take place on the evenings of Thursday to Sunday, though we have some flexibility with nights you choose to work. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that requires the successful applicant to take on a leadership position. You will ensure seamless coordination and an exceptional guest experience using the event's specifically tailored run sheet as a guide.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and oversee the venue's operations during the event.

• Understand clients' event requirements and ensure these are met during the event with the guide of the event run sheet.

• Coordinate with Team Leaders and Floor teams to execute successful food and beverage service.

• Ensure vendor compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations

• Maintain the venue's presentation and cleanliness to the highest standards

• Communicate directly with clients (often brides and grooms) throughout the evening, providing exceptional customer service, reassurance and guidance.

• Lead and motivate a team of venue staff.

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience (2+ years) in a similar venue management or hospitality management role

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure

• Strong leadership and people management skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences

• Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or a related field would be highly regarded
