The Rugby World Cup Australia (RWCA) is proud to deliver one of the world’s most iconic sporting events — the Rugby World Cup 2027 (Men’s). More than a tournament, it’s a celebration of Rugby’s spirit, Australia’s culture, and the power of sport to unite and inspire communities around the world.
Be at the heart of Rugby World Cup 2027 and play a pivotal role in supporting the world’s best rugby teams on their tournament journey across Australia.
Rugby World Cup Australia is seeking experienced Team Liaison Officers (TLOs) to play a critical role in supporting participating nations throughout Rugby World Cup 2027. Acting as the trusted link between an assigned team and the Team Services department, you will help deliver a seamless, world-class tournament experience both on and off the field. From coordinating travel, accommodation and training operations to providing day to day logistical support, this is a unique opportunity to work alongside elite international teams at one of the world’s premier sporting events.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced position that requires exceptional relationship-building skills, adaptability and a passion for high-performance sport. TLOs will travel with their assigned team throughout the tournament, live within the team environment, and provide hands-on support across a broad range of operational and logistical activities. If you thrive under pressure, enjoy solving complex challenges, and are committed to delivering outstanding service, this is a rare opportunity to contribute to the success of Rugby World Cup 2027 and create unforgettable experiences for teams competing on the global stage.
Successful applicants must be available from 20 September 2027 to 15 November 2027, with employment commencing from their assigned Team’s Official Arrival Date and concluding when that Team exits the tournament. TLOs are required to attend all virtual training sessions from March 2027, as well as a mandatory two day in person Team Officials workshop in Sydney in August 2027.
