About the role

Jump! Swim Schools Hackham is seeking passionate swimming teachers to join our team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in children's lives by teaching them essential water safety and swimming skills. Based in Hackham SA 5163, you will be working in a dynamic, supportive environment where every lesson counts towards building confident, capable swimmers. What you'll be doing

• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate swimming lessons to children of various abilities and age groups

• Create a safe, supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident in the water

• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs

• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's development and achievements

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain high standards of pool conduct and hygiene

• Build positive relationships with students to foster a love of swimming and water activities

• Contribute to a welcoming and professional team atmosphere

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress

What we're looking for

• A genuine passion for swimming and teaching children

• Current swimming qualifications (such as Level 1, Level 2 or equivalent coaching certification)

• Current First Aid and CPR certification

• Working with Children Check clearance or willingness to obtain one

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Patient, enthusiastic and encouraging approach to coaching

• Ability to manage groups effectively and maintain discipline in a positive manner

• Strong commitment to child safety and safeguarding

• Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is highly valued
