Accounts Receivable Officer

Synergie Australia is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer for a Packaging / Manufacturing based in Mentone, VIC.

The important parts:

• Pay: $60-$65 per hour + super
• Arrangement: Temporary assignment for an initial 3 months, with potential to become permanent
• Hours: 20 hours per week
• Start: ASAP

What you will be required to do:

In this role, you will manage a high-volume accounts receivable function, supporting the finance team with customer payments, reconciliations, account maintenance and collections. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate customer records, following up overdue accounts and ensuring customer queries are handled professionally and efficiently.

• Manage approximately 2,000 customer accounts
• Follow up outstanding accounts and customer payments
• Process and reconcile customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
• Liaise with customers regarding account queries, payment plans and overdue invoices
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies by working with customers and internal teams
• Support the finance team with general accounts receivable duties
• Assist with ledger management, debtor reporting and month-end processes where required
• Communicate any problem accounts or payment concerns to management promptly

To be successful in the role you will:

• Bring previous experience in accounts receivable, credit control or a similar finance role
• Be confident managing high-volume customer accounts and competing priorities
• Have strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing receipts, reconciliations and account updates
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, internal stakeholders and management
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills, initiative and the ability to work independently
• Experience using Pronto, PayWay or CreditorWatch will be highly regarded
• Bring a proactive, customer-focused and solutions-driven approach
