Trust & Compliance Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Trust & Compliance Coordinator to play a key role in the day-to-day management of our trust accounts and assist with the implementation and ongoing operation of our Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) compliance framework.

In this role, you will work closely with the CFO and Senior Accounts Administrator to help manage controlled money accounts (CMAs), process trust and general account transactions, and support the firm’s AML/CTF compliance obligations. The position has a strong focus on accuracy, compliance and clear communication with lawyers and support staff across the firm.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with daily trust and general account transactions in line with legislative requirements;
• Assisting the Senior Accounts Administrator with the management of CMAs, including account openings, closures and month-end reconciliations;
• Processing receipting, payments, disbursements and reconciliations accurately and on time;
• Ensuring compliance with all trust accounting regulations and maintaining accurate financial records;
• Liaising with lawyers and support staff regarding trust transactions and procedures;
• Supporting trust audits and assisting in responses to auditor requests;
• Assisting the CFO and broader team with the ongoing administration of the firm’s AML/CTF Compliance Program;
• Helping conduct client due diligence and verification procedures;
• Reviewing client information and helping identify simple beneficial ownership structures;
• Maintaining AML records and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements; and
• Assisting the AML Compliance Officer with regulatory reporting and compliance obligations as required.
