Medical Specialist Receptionist/Administration

About the role

We are seeking a part-time (approx. 32 hours p.w) Medical Specialist Receptionist/Administration professional to join our team at Coastal Hearts and Vascular in Southport, Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative and service support to our medical staff, technicians and their patients, in a small but friendly cardiovascular specialist practice.

Key responsibilities:

1. Greeting and welcoming patients, and managing patient enquiries, bookings and appointments in person, by phone or by email

2. Maintaining patient records and medical files in a confidential and organised manner, whilst adhering to patient confidentiality and data protection.

3. Assisting with the preparation of medical correspondence and reports

4. Providing general administrative support to the medical staff , including scheduling, invoicing, receipting, billing etc.

5. Co-ordinating patient care appointments, procedures and theatre lists

6. Assisting with preparation of medical correspondence and reports

7. Ensuring a high level of customer service is provided to all patients and visitors

8. Liaising with external stakeholders, such as other healthcare providers

What we're looking for

1. Minimum of 2+ years experience in a medical receptionist or administration role is required- preferably in a medical specialist environment

2. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with GENTU medical software

3. Professional, empathetic and patient focused

4. Team player with a positive attitude

5. Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

7. Australian citizenship is required for this position
