Fullstack Engineer (Backend-Focused) — Mid to Senior Level

We are hiring for multiple Fullstack Engineers (Backend-Focused) across Mid to Senior levels to join a major Australian banking client in Sydney.

You will join a high-performing Technology team within the Cash & Transactional Banking space, working closely with business partners to design, build, and deliver large-scale digital transformation initiatives. This is a fast-paced, agile environment where you’ll tackle complex architectural problems and directly shape core financial platforms.

• Drive Core Engineering: Design and build resilient, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

• Deliver End-to-End Features: Leverage your fullstack toolkit, pairing solid backend logic with React frontend components.

• Modernize Architecture: Implement, secure, and maintain high-throughput RESTful APIs using OAuth and JWT standards.

• Automate & Ship: Collaborate within an Agile framework, leveraging continuous integration and deployment pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Bamboo).

• Solve Complex Problems: Apply strong analytical, architectural, and design capabilities to solve technical bottlenecks and optimize system performance.

• Backend Focus: Strong foundation in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API architecture, and enterprise Java ecosystem patterns.

• Frontend Capabilities: Hands-on experience working with React for user interface components.

• API Security & Standards: Deep understanding of secure API design practices, including OAuth and JWT implementations.

• CI/CD Proficiency: Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins, or Bamboo.

• Problem Solvers: Proven ability to analyze complex system issues and break down enterprise requirements into reliable, clean code.
