Practice Nurse

About the role

Roleystone Family Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare to our patients in Roleystone.

What you'll be doing

• Providing direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, conducting medical examinations, and monitoring patient progress.

• Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualised care plans for patients

• Documenting patient information and maintaining accurate medical records

• Assisting with the triage of patients and providing immediate care for those with urgent medical needs

• Educating patients and their families on chronic disease management, treatment options, and preventive health measures.

• Participating in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest nursing practices and medical advancements

What we're looking for

• Practice Nurse with a current AHPRA registration

• Minimum 1 year experience in a general medical or surgical nursing role

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team

• Proficient in documentation and maintaining accurate medical records

• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centred care

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Demonstrated understanding of relevant nursing regulations and standards of practice
