Our Venue:
Situated on Sydney Harbour's stunning waterfront, our gallery venue provides event spaces for corporate dinners, conferences, cocktail parties, private occasions, weddings, milestone celebrations and everything in-between. We host events across 7 recently refurbished spaces, offering iconic views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House, ranging from 50-800 pax.

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Event Manager to coordinate events at one of Sydney’s most iconic venues. A Senior Event Manager is responsible for providing exceptional client experiences while coordinating end-to-end event management (from sales handover until the day of the event), communicating with the client and gathering information to ensure every detail has been entered into the system correctly and working closely with our operations team to ensure we exceed client expectations. It is a largely client-facing role, while maintaining strong admin to ensure all details are documented and processes are followed correctly. Regular Monday-Friday work week, with flexibility to attend night/weekend events on occasion.
  
Main Duties:

• Lead by example as a senior member of the Events team, providing guidance, mentorship and day-to-day support to colleagues, while fostering a collaborative team culture.
• Communicate with clients to obtain details of events and plan execution.
• Identify client's wants and needs and creatively address any roadblocks to fulfil (and exceed) client expectations.
• Coordinate the requirements of events including AV, catering (food and beverage menus), set up, resources needed, running order, suppliers/contractors, bump in/out schedule, floorplans, etc. 
• Conduct professional and exciting site inspections with clients.
• Use booking and event systems to plan events and detail all information required. 
• Create detailed event briefs within expected timeframes for our operations team to execute.
• Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure all costs are kept within budget. 

Skills/Experience Required:

• At least 3 years’ experience as a team lead, coordinating premium events.
• Strong organisational, administration and time management abilities.
• Experience, understand and acumen in event planning and execution.
• Exceptional customer service, business development & client management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using booking systems and software.
• Passion for the Events industry and desire to develop a career managing and coordinating events.
