About the role
Hello, we’re L’Oréal, We're not just building brands, we're shaping how the world experiences beauty (and it takes a lot of cool jobs to do it). Intrigued? Keep reading, this might be the opportunity you've been searching for.
A Day in the Life
As Brand Business & Product Leader for Color Wow, you'll carry the overall responsibility for how the brand does in Australia and New Zealand — commercially, strategically and operationally. This is a broader role than a typical activation lead. You'll own the full picture: brand growth and sales performance, the total A&P budget, the product catalogue end to end, and the teams bringing the brand to life through content, advocacy and community.
You'll work closely with our channel leads to make sure everything we're investing in — advocacy, content, media, e-commerce — is actually translating into real business results, not just activity for the sake of it. You'll also lead our Brand Engagement & Online Activation Manager and Social & Community Manager, helping shape their work and making sure it's all pulling in the same direction as the brand's commercial goals.
On top of that, you'll act as the brand's product manager — owning the catalogue, forecasting, pricing, launches and animations, and working closely with our Operations team to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Given Color Wow is a newly acquired brand being relaunched in ANZ, this is very much a build-it-yourself kind of role. There's an established global brand behind you, but locally, a lot of what this looks like is still being figured out — and you'll be the one figuring it out.
What You'll Be Doing
Owning the overall commercial performance of Color Wow in ANZ, including sales, and being accountable for the brand hitting its growth ambitionsManaging the total A&P budget for the brand, deciding where investment goes and making sure it's working hardLeading and supporting the Brand Engagement & Online Activation Manager and the Social & Community Manager, helping connect their day-to-day work back to commercial outcomesWorking closely with channel leads across retail and e-commerce to make sure brand activity is genuinely driving growth, not just visibilityOwning the full product catalogue — forecasting, pricing, new launches and animations — working hand in hand with Operations to keep supply and demand alignedTurning the global brand vision into a local plan that actually makes sense for the ANZ market, balancing brand building with commercial realityKeeping a close eye on what's working across advocacy, content, media and sales, and using that to guide where the team focuses nextProtecting what makes Color Wow distinctive as it grows here, while staying open to adapting the playbook where it makes sense locally
What We're Looking For
Someone who's worked in brand management, marketing or a similar commercial role within beauty, haircare or a related category, and who's comfortable owning both the strategic and the operational side of a brand — from sales performance and A&P budget down to catalogue and pricing detail. You know how to lead a small team without needing to sit on top of every task, and you're good at joining the dots between what a team is doing day to day and whether it's actually moving the needle commercially.
You'll Probably Enjoy This Role If You
Have experience owning a P&L, or being accountable for brand-level sales results and A&P investmentHave some exposure to product management — forecasting, pricing, launches — even if it wasn't your main focus beforeEnjoy working across teams and channels to keep everyone pointed at the same goalCan lead people without over-managing them, and know how to get the best out of a small, close-knit teamAre comfortable with ambiguity and like the idea of helping build something new rather than running an existing playbookCan read a P&L and a piece of content with equal comfort, and have a view on both
What’s In It For You
The chance to help build something from the ground up — Color Wow is a newly acquired brand for L'Oréal, and this is effectively a relaunch in Australia and New Zealand. There's a lot of room to shape how it grows here, in a way that feels more start-up than corporate.A place for you to leave your comfort zone and grow beyond your potential (here, you’ll be encouraged to try new things and take risks!)Real responsibility from day 1, there’s no sitting on the sidelines at L’OréalAn environment where people of every ethnicity, social background, age, religion, gender and sexual orientation as well as people with disabilities are accepted, can speak up, will thrive and are celebrated!A place where you can contribute to something bigger! Many of our brands have societal /environmental causes to make concrete difference
