About the role
 
Reporting to the Head of Financial Crime, the Manager, Fraud and Scams is responsible for supporting the strategic and operational management of fraud, scams, anti-bribery and corruption risk across CBUS.
 
This is an important role for CBUS, helping to mature fraud and scams prevention capability across the Fund while promoting a culture of integrity, transparency and accountability. You’ll work closely with teams across Legal, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Member Services, Finance, Procurement and People & Culture to embed effective controls, awareness and governance.  
 
Key Accountabilities:

• Support the development and continuous improvement of fraud, scams, anti-bribery and corruption policies, procedures, controls and prevention activities
• Provide subject matter expertise across internal and external fraud and scams risk, including member fraud, account takeover, payroll, procurement, invoice and finance related fraud typologies
• Support fraud and scam risk assessments, thematic reviews, investigations, root cause analysis and control uplift activities
• Prepare and support reporting and management, executive committees, the Board regulators and law enforcement where required
• Collaborate across CBUS and with service providers to embed fraud and scams controls, awareness, governance and effective risk management policies

What will you bring?

• Experience in a similar Fraud and Scams role ideally in superannuation or financial services
• Proven experience in fraud and scams risk management, investigations, control design, control uplift and stakeholder engagement
• Strong understanding of relevant legal and regulatory obligations, including financial crime, anti-bribery and corruption risk and current scams regulatory developments
• Proven leadership in regulated environments, with strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence decision making
• Outstanding analytical, communication and strategic thinking capabilities with experience managing complex investigations and regulatory relationships
