We are now looking for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our People & Culture team in Sydney.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, People & Culture, you will provide practical, responsive and hands-on support across the People & Culture function.

You will be one of the first points of contact for day-to-day People & Culture enquiries and will play an important role in supporting our managers and team members across the business.

This is not a purely administrative HR role.

You will be given the opportunity to build your capability across the full employee lifecycle, take ownership of key People & Culture processes and progressively develop your experience in employee relations.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating recruitment activity, including advertising, candidate management, interview scheduling and recruitment administration.
• Managing the People & Culture and Recruitment inboxes, ensuring enquiries are responded to, allocated or escalated appropriately.
• Acting as a first point of contact for general People & Culture enquiries.
• Supporting managers with straightforward People & Culture matters.
• Managing minor and lower-risk employee relations matters with support and guidance.
• Preparing employment documentation, letters and People & Culture correspondence.
• Supporting onboarding, transfers, employment changes and offboarding.
• Coordinating our Rewards and Recognition program.
• Supporting recruitment and onboarding activity for new contracts and mobilisations.
• Maintaining People & Culture records, trackers and reporting.
• Supporting People & Culture projects and initiatives.
• Assisting with the implementation of new systems, processes and employee initiatives.
• Supporting the broader People & Culture team with investigations, performance management and organisational change activities.

Build Your Employee Relations Experience

A key part of this role will be developing your confidence and capability in employee relations.

With support from our Business Partners and General Manager, People & Culture, you will gain exposure to matters including:

• Attendance and absenteeism.
• Minor conduct matters.
• Probationary performance.
• Performance management.
• Policy and procedure enquiries.
• Disciplinary processes.
• Preparing meeting invitations, allegation letters and outcome documentation.
• Supporting workplace investigations.

As your capability develops, you will be encouraged to take greater ownership of these matters.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, responsive and genuinely interested in developing a broad career in People & Culture.

You may already be working as an HR Coordinator, People & Culture Coordinator, Recruitment Coordinator or HR Administrator and be ready for your next step.

You will ideally bring:

• Previous experience in Human Resources, People & Culture or recruitment.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence communicating with managers and employees.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A practical and solutions-focused approach.
• A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Sound judgement and an understanding of confidentiality.
• A genuine interest in developing your employee relations capability.

Experience within an operational, facilities management, cleaning, security, hospitality or similarly fast-paced workforce environment would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
