Cleaner – Residential Aged Care Facility

About the role

As a Cleaner, you will play a key role in ensuring our facility remains clean, hygienic, and welcoming. You will work as part of a supportive hospitality team and contribute to the wellbeing and comfort of our residents at our residential aged care facility.

Key responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to a high standard.

• Maintain infection prevention and control practices.

• Perform routine cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising.

• Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Dispose of waste in accordance with facility procedures.

• Report maintenance, safety, or cleaning concerns to the appropriate staff.

• Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a positive environment.

About you

• Previous cleaning experience (aged care, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial cleaning preferred but not essential).

• A strong commitment to cleanliness and attention to detail.

• Excellent time management and organisational skills.

• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

• Respectful and caring communication skills when interacting with residents and families.

• Understanding of infection control practices or willingness to learn.

• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
