Delivery Driver/Warehousing Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver/Warehousing Assistant to join the team at Wounded Heroes Association Inc. This is a full-time position based in Hyde Park, QLD 4812 working Tuesday to Saturday, 8am-4pm. In this dual role, you will be responsible for warehouse operations and ensuring timely delivery of goods to our customers. You will play a vital part in our supply chain, contributing directly to our mission of supporting wounded heroes and their families. This role combines both warehouse operations and on-road delivery responsibilities, requiring flexibility, organisation and strong customer service skills.

What you'll be doing

• Receiving, checking and processing incoming goods into the warehouse

• Organising and maintaining stock levels, ensuring items are correctly stored and easily retrievable

• Preparing orders for dispatch, including picking, packing and labelling

• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently

• Loading delivery vehicles with care, ensuring goods are secured and arranged for safe transport

• Driving delivery vehicles to customer locations in a professional and timely manner

• Unloading goods at delivery sites and assisting customers where required

• Maintaining accurate records of warehouse inventory and delivery documentation

• Conducting vehicle safety checks and reporting maintenance issues

• Ensuring that company truck and ute are cleaned and maintained to a high standard

• Adhering to health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised warehouse environment

• Providing excellent customer service during all customer interactions

What we're looking for

• Current, valid driving licence with a clean driving record

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, stock management or a similar role

• Proven experience driving a Forklift and Forklift certification

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Physical fitness and capability to lift and move heavy items regularly

• Excellent time management and reliability

• A commitment to health and safety in the workplace

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience in customer-facing delivery roles would be advantageous

• Knowledge of the local Hyde Park area would be beneficial
