Dental Receptionist _Dee Why Family Dental

We are seeking a highly organized and friendly individual to join our dental practice as a Casual / Part Time Dental Receptionist. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring their experience is positive and efficient. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

3 days a week (days to be discussed)

8.30am - 5.30pm

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities:

1. Acknowledge and greet patients
2. Schedule appointments accurately using the practice's electronic scheduling system.
3. Answer phone calls promptly and assist callers with inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member.
4. Manage patient records by updating personal information accurately in the electronic database.
5. Verify insurance coverage for new patients and update insurance information for existing patients.
6. Collect co-payments or outstanding balances from patients at check-in or check-out as necessary.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area including stocking brochures/pamphlets if required.
8. Collaborate with dental staff regarding any changes in appointment schedules or urgent patient needs.
9. Handle incoming/outgoing mail efficiently including sorting correspondence/documents as needed.
10. Maintain a pleasant attitude, communicate well and respect all team members.

Training will be provided.
