About the Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Fitter/ Trade Assistant to join our team. You will be reliable, keen to learn and willing to develop your skills. We build specialised heavy vehicles and equipment, with comprehensive training and development on offer. Trade qualifications are preferred, but it will be your positive attitude, mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn that will set you apart. Working from our well-equipped four bay workshop in Acacia Ridge, you will primarily be building new mobile equipment but there will be some refurbishment work of existing plant equipment as well.
Key Responsibilities
General assembly of new builds
Hydraulic, pneumatic, pipe and general fitting
Repair and refurbishment work as required
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Working safely and efficiently as part of a team
About You
Previous experience in a similar role
Good mechanical aptitude
Experience working on machinery, trucks, cars or other mobile equipment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and precision in your work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Open driver licence
