Support Worker

Join the Diamond Care and Disability Services team as a Disability Support Worker. In this casual role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their local community.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.

• Provide emotional support and social engagement to encourage clients' independence and community involvement.

• Advocate for clients' needs and liaise with family members, healthcare professionals, and other support services.

• Implement personalised support plans and monitor clients' progress, reporting any concerns to the team.

• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.

• Participate in regular training to enhance your skills and knowledge.

• Nursing Students recommended to apply.

What we're looking for

• Support Workers that live in the Joondalup, Fremantle and Bentley areas.

• A relevant qualification in Disability Support, Community Services, or a similar field.

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting.

• Demonstrated strong reliability and punctuality by consistently attending shifts on time and providing dependable support to clients.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathise with clients.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

• A current driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
