The Opportunity 

WEM Water has a rewarding opportunity for a HIAB Truck Operator to join the team. 

We have a strong portfolio of work with multiple projects underway across Sydney's Northwest and Southwest. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Deliver pipes, fittings, plant, and materials to pipeline construction crews across multiple project sites.
• Operate a HIAB crane truck to safely load, unload, and position materials.
• Load, transport, and unload plant and equipment, including 5-tonne excavators.
• Secure and restrain loads in accordance with transport and safety requirements.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and maintain vehicles and associated equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Maintain a sound understanding of pipeline construction materials and site operations.
• Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• Assist with other site duties as needed to ensure project timelines are met.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, or working under Sydney Water requirements
• Valid HR Driver’s Licence with flexibility to travel between job sites
• The ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team
• Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards and practices
• A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative 
• A construction white card
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
