Position: Bricklayer
Salary: $79000 to $83000 plus applicable superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week
Mode: Full time
Location: Merrylands. NSW

Business is located in Western NSW. Business is looking for a full-time skilled Bricklayer to join the team. Business is situated at Merrylands. You will be required to work across various construction sites. Business is looking for a Bricklayer with a strong focus on efficiency and quality. Must have own tools and transport.

Key Responsibilities:

Identifying materials and calculating dimensions required for brick / block laying as required.

Making a list of materials and tools required for the following day.

Assess architectural plans to ensure correct material selection, measurements, and bricklaying procedures.

Follow drawings to determine brick patterns, mortar mixes, and structural requirements.

Brick and block laying to build buildings as per the design plan.

Calculate brick / block quantities and required mortar mixes.

Repairing brick constructions and structures of various shapes.

Cleaning up work areas after completing the tasks.

Using various hand tools and machines to cut, shape and lay blocks and bricks.

Erecting and dismantling limited height scaffolding / basic work platforms.

Install steel lintels, ties, and reinforcement bars as needed

Point and finish mortar joints for durability and aesthetics.

Follow Australian Standards and Construction Code.

Adhere to Work Health and Safety regulations and use personal protective equipment.

Work with the team and contractors to meet project timelines.

Experience and other requirements:

Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Driver license and white card

Asbestos awareness

Ability to work both unsupervised and in a team.

Salary Package: $79,000 - $83,000 per annum Plus Superannuation.

Qualifications:

Certificate III in Bricklaying.

Three years of experience can substitute for formal qualification.

Other Skills

Proven experience as a Bricklayer in construction industry.

Strong knowledge of standards, regulations, and industry best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
