Quality Assurance Engineer

The Role

This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity to cover a period of leave.

The ABC is looking for a QA Engineer to help our teams deliver reliable, high-quality experiences across our web and content management platforms. You’ll work in a supportive product and engineering environment, partnering with developers, testers and product leaders to build confidence in every release through thoughtful test practices and automation.

The Job

You’re an experienced QA Engineer who enjoys working collaboratively to improve quality, reliability, and confidence in every release.

You'll have: 

• Demonstrated experience testing APIs, web applications and/or content management systems, ideally in a large-scale Java-based environment.
• Strong hands-on experience building test automation, including developing and maintaining automation frameworks and supporting tooling. Experience with frameworks such as Playwright and K6 are desirable.
• Development experience in at least one language, such as JavaScript or Typescript.
• Experience working with web applications, REST and GraphQL APIs, and CI/CD tooling in AWS (or a similar cloud environment).
• Experience testing and troubleshooting backend systems and infrastructure such as databases and AWS cloud services.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and help resolve complex technical issues
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information to a range of audiences.
